The two-day class covers in the fundamentals of furniture making, using time-honored joinery, taught in a supportive shop environment with a maximum of 12 women. We will begin building a bench that can be used as seating for up to 2 people or as a small table.
-Learn to use traditional woodworking hand tools; chisels, dovetail saws, bench and block planes, drills.
-Make mortise and tenon joinery with tusk wedges and foxtail wedges
-Develop the skills and understand the process of building furniture with traditional joinery.
Class fee is $275- plus a $25- materials fee All tools are supplied.
Class hours are: Saturday, 10am to 5pm and Sunday, 10am-4pm.
